Giving the model its texture I’ve used Substance painter. With this software I am able to paint directly on the model. Afterwards, the exporting texture maps build the foundation of the shading network in Maya. We’re rendering with vRay. And voilá – there they are. Beautiful pictures, giving you a little foretaste of what the actual animated short would look like.
About the project
As in a previous post mentioned, we’re a team of four very ambitious people creating a 3d animated short about an old man and his life-changing journey. I am very pleased to be part of such an amazing, creative process.
The animation process is in the starting blocks. Afterwards, we will ligthen every single shot and define the cameras. The postproduction will start this summer. So, there is still a bit of work to do.
