The progress of Fish for Life

The development of Fish for Life made steady progress. Currently, I am working on the colors of the lighted renderings. The image above shows the yellow phase when Manolin falls asleep during the efforts of trying to make the big catch. The compositing was made by my colleague Victoria. The colors of Fish for Life

Currently, the development of Fish for Life takes great steps forward – check out all the colors from the recent renderings on the new blog entry at fishforlife-short.com. Giving the model its texture I’ve used Substance Painter. With this software, I am able to paint directly on the model. Afterward, the exporting texture maps build the foundation of the shading network in Maya. We’re rendering with V-Ray. And voilá – there they are. Fish for Life. Introduction.

Our new project we have been working on since March 2017 is called Fish for Life, a 3d animated short. The story is based on the novel The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway. ThrowAway color change

I finished the color change work of the clothing for our animated short ThrowAway. For 2 weeks, we are working on the rotoscoping. At the beginning, we had problems with the equipment (Wacom tablets) and the synchronization of the brush. But after a while, we get into it. ThrowAway shooting

Finally, we were ready for shooting reference material for our new animated short ThrowAway. Gabriela developed the choreography to the music of Chris Zabriskie.   Making of The film was shot in one piece on Friday evening at the University. Fortunately, we did not need many takes, because Gabriela is a fabulous dancer. Everything turned out smoothly. With the help of Simone, the transitions were very fluid and fast.
