Yesterday I completed my studies with a master’s degree at the University of Applied Sciences in Hagenberg, Upper Austria. Still, I can’t believe it. Amazing, how fast the time passed. I finished my Bachelor in 2016. Currently, I’m still working on Fish for Life, our final project. The work on this animated short is in its final throes.
This week my fellow students published their VR game Letzte Worte on steam. The story of the game is very profound. Matthias Patscheider, Samantha Povolny, and Bianca Zankl did a splendid good job! In the course of another academic paper, I analyzed the Pygmalion’s effect in animation in modern, figural animated films. I set my focus on the transgression of the lifeless artefact to living fiction. Its forms of representation through materiality and medium fascinated me. The Animationjam is an event at the campus Hagenberg that will be reintroduced. On 1st and 2nd April we started a test jam and it worked out really well.
