The colors of Fish for Life

Currently, the development of Fish for Life takes great steps forward – check out all the colors from the recent renderings on the new blog entry at fishforlife-short.com. Giving the model its texture I’ve used Substance Painter. With this software, I am able to paint directly on the model. Afterward, the exporting texture maps build the foundation of the shading network in Maya. We’re rendering with V-Ray. And voilá – there they are. ‘Da Opa hoid’ at the screening of tricky women 2018

Today our animated short Da Opa hoid / Just Grandpa will be showed in the screening of tricky women 2018. The Metro Kinokulturhaus shows it at 3 p.m. as part of the programme Österreich Panorama. As in a previous post mentioned, the story is about the grandpa of little Mina, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. Pygmalion’s effect in animation

In the course of another academic paper, I analyzed the Pygmalion’s effect in animation in modern, figural animated films. I set my focus on the transgression of the lifeless artefact to living fiction. Its forms of representation through materiality and medium fascinated me.
